Collector notes
Condition. Inspect centering (especially on promo borders), holo foil scratches and clouding on rings, edge whitening, surface print defects common in early 2007 promos; check for print lines or off-coloring typical in low-run batches.
Storage. Use semi-rigid holder or top-loader with sleeve in cool, dry environment; avoid direct light to prevent foil oxidation; ideal for professional grading slabs post-inspection.
Authenticity. Verify black market holo pattern and sharp gold star symbol; fakes often have blurry text or incorrect font weights; cross-check with graded population reports; authentic cards show specific foil refraction on Umbreon's rings; Japanese variants have back border thickness as telltale.
