Market outlook
Rising Outlook 7/10
Collector demand is driven by the character’s iconic status, and premium variants tend to appreciate more reliably than base SR copies. French-language and high-grade examples should continue to benefit from scarcity within their segment.
Next months. Base copies should remain stable to slightly soft, while full-art/alternate-art and graded copies are likely to hold or edge upward.
Long term. Over 1-3 years, premium variants and gem-mint copies should trend upward moderately if One Piece TCG collecting remains strong; base copies will likely stay relatively inexpensive.
History
Gol D. Roger is the legendary Pirate King in One Piece, the only known pirate to reach Laugh Tale and uncover the truth of the world’s hidden history. His legacy drives the entire series’ treasure hunt and power struggle, and his death at execution sparked the Great Pirate Era. In the trading card game, he is one of the most iconic and collectible characters because of his central importance to the franchise.
First released in the Japanese One Piece Card Game set OP-13, Carrying on His Will, in 2024; French-language copies are localized printings derived from that release and appeared through the European/French distribution of the same set.
- Card number OP13-064 is a Super Rare Gol D. Roger card from OP-13.
- The standard version is foil/SR, and an alternate-art/full-art variant also exists for the same card number.
- Market data shows a large gap between normal and alternate-art desirability, with the full-art/parallel version trading materially higher than the base version.

- French-language copies are a narrower regional collectible niche compared with Japanese or English copies.
Collector notes
Condition. Check centering, edge whitening, corner wear, and surface scratching on the foil/full-art areas; the most common issues are micro-scratches, print lines, and soft corners from pack-to-sleeve handling.
Storage. Store in a penny sleeve and rigid top loader or one-touch, keep away from humidity and direct light, and use a graded slab for long-term preservation of higher-value copies.
Authenticity. Authentic copies should have crisp printing, clean foil layering, and consistent set/collector numbering; fake or altered cards often show blurry text, weak color saturation, poor foil alignment, or incorrect back printing. For French copies, verify the language-specific text and printing quality against known official examples.
