History
Rayquaza is a legendary Dragon/Flying-type Pokémon from the Hoenn region, introduced in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire (2002). Known as the Sky High Pokémon, it dwells in the ozone layer and acts as a mediator between the rival legendaries Groudon and Kyogre, preventing their primal clash by calming them with its presence. Iconic for its serpentine design and Delta Stream ability, Rayquaza has appeared in multiple games, anime, and films, including as a Mega Evolvable and Gigantamax form in later generations.

Collector notes
Condition. Check for centering (holo pattern easily shows edge wear), surface scratches on the vibrant foil, print lines or dimples common in Vivid Voltage holos, corner whitening, and edge chipping; NM cards often have minor holo swirl marks
Storage. Use semi-rigid or Dragon Shield sleeves with top loaders, store in cool, dry environment away from sunlight to prevent foil oxidation; avoid stacking without dividers
Authenticity. Verify holo pattern matches official (swirling rainbow with sharp Rayquaza outline), check font consistency and numbering; fakes often have blurry art or incorrect card stock thickness; use graded/graded pop report lookup or TCGplayer verified sellers for confidence
