Market outlook
Stable Outlook 4/10
Demand should remain steady because it is a collectible Illustration Rare, but it is unlikely to experience strong appreciation unless Wiglett gains broader character popularity or the print becomes notably harder to find in high grade.[1][3][5]
Next months. Likely to trade in a narrow range with small fluctuations based on graded supply and casual collector interest.
Long term. Expected to remain a modest-value collectible with gradual movement rather than sharp growth, unless broader Paldea-era collecting interest strengthens.
History
Wiglett is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in the Generation IX games Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It is the Paldea-region counterpart that resembles Diglett but is a separate species with a distinct design, name, and evolution line; it evolves into Wugtrio at level 26.[6][8][15]
First released in the Scarlet & Violet—Paldea Evolved expansion in 2023 as card 057/071, appearing as an English Illustration Rare Full Art version in the set’s parallel card list.[2][10]
- Wiglett is one of the Paldea Evolved Illustration Rares, a chase subset that is generally much scarcer than regular cards in the set.[1][10]
- The card number 057/071 places it in the main set numbering used by the Japanese-style subset numbering for the Paldea Evolved product line, not the standard 193-card English numbering used by the expansion’s main checklist.[2][10]
- Wiglett’s popularity is supported more by character appeal and art-collecting demand than by competitive play demand, which is typical for lower-tier Illustration Rare singles.[3][5]

Collector notes
Condition. Check for whitening on corners and edges, surface scratching on the full-art finish, print lines in the holo area, centering on both front and back, and any dents or roller marks visible under light.
Storage. Store in a soft penny sleeve and semi-rigid or top loader, keep away from humidity and sunlight, and avoid repeated handling because Illustration Rare surfaces show scratches easily.
Authenticity. Verify the card against the official set gallery and checklist, confirm correct English text, set symbol, numbering, and texture/foil pattern, and watch for miscut borders, off-color printing, or unusually flat foil that can indicate fake cards.
