Market outlook
Stable Outlook 6/10
Consistent collector interest in WOTC-era holos with prices holding amid Pokémon TCG vintage boom, but no explosive growth due to abundant supply.
Next months. Stable with minor fluctuations from auctions; graded 8 around $90
Long term. Gradual rise for high-grade/1st Edition copies as supply ages
History
Jolteon is one of Eevee's eight possible evolutions in the Pokémon franchise, introduced in Generation I as the Electric-type form evolved using a Thunder Stone. Known for its speed and electric attacks like Pin Missile and Thunder Wave, it represents a spiky, agile fox-like Pokémon significant in competitive play and as a fan-favorite evolution line member.
First released in the Pokémon Jungle set in June 1999 in English, part of the Base Series expansion following the original Base Set.
- Jolteon debuted in the Jungle set with two cards, this #4 Holo being the rarer holographic version.
- One of the first Eeveelution cards printed, marking early Pokémon TCG evolution mechanics.
- From the 1999 Jungle set, the second English expansion with 64 cards focused on jungle-themed Pokémon.

Collector notes
Condition. Check for centering issues common in early Wizards prints, holo bleeding on edges, surface scratches on foil, print lines, and whitening on corners/edges; Jungle holos often have slight upward shifts.
Storage. Use semi-rigid holders or top-loaders with sleeves in cool, dry conditions away from light to prevent foil oxidation; avoid stacking under heavy pressure.
Authenticity. Verify black star promo stamp absence for Jungle, correct font/spacing on text, crisp holo pattern without blurring; compare to graded population reports; fakes often have dull foil or incorrect card weight.
